Last season, BKS faced relegation to the district league. Thanks to the determination of the players and interim coach Henryk Kusojć, as well as several favorable circumstances (Polonia Trzebnica remaining in the III liga, Spójnia Ośno Lubuskie withdrawing from the III-liga competition, and a forfeit being awarded in BKS's favor after the defeat in Jawor), our team ultimately finished 11th in the table and retained its place in the IV liga.
BKS entered the new IV liga season with a new board and a new coach, as well as a partially changed squad. Andrzej Kisiel was appointed coach. The choice proved entirely correct. The new coach organized the team and, through solid work at training sessions, determination and belief in success, achieved third place at the end of the round together with the team.
Apart from a few weaker matches (including the away game against Nysa Zgorzelec), BKS played attractive and effective football. Despite turmoil on the board (the resignation of board member Sebastian Zaremba, followed by the resignation of president Janusz Rajczakowski and the election of Adam Fornal as president), the team continued to play its game to the end and collect points.
The summary of the round in "Słowo Sportowe" describes BKS's good play and calls the team the league's biggest surprise—of course, a positive one. In the same newspaper, the coach of table-topping Miedź II Legnica also spoke positively about BKS's performances. It is only a shame that, before the start of the unfortunate round, Marek Majka suffered a serious knee injury. This ruled our striker out of play, but it does not mean he was away from the team. Even moving around on crutches, he cheered on his teammates from the stands. Fortunately, the player is recovering, and everything indicates that we will see him on the pitches as early as the spring round.
An interesting summary of BKS's performances and statistics for individual players from the previous round can be found on the official BKS Bobrzanie website.
