He added: “Some of these works would not be possible at all at lower temperatures. Work on others would be significantly more difficult. With this weather, however, we can be optimistic about the schedules for completing the works—and there really are many of them. Some naturally involve certain traffic restrictions, but these will be as short-lived and as minimally disruptive as possible.”

Due to intensive work related to the construction of the water and sewage network in the left-bank part of Cieplice, in the area between Rataja and Marcinkowskiego streets, drivers may encounter minor traffic difficulties, most often caused by narrowed carriageways and temporary reductions in the permitted speed. This mainly concerns Chałubińskiego, Chopina, Heweliusza and Domeyki streets.

Installation work is also being carried out in other parts of the city, so similar restrictions are present on Wolności Street (at number 58), as well as on Spółdzielcza, Podwale and Różyckiego streets. In turn, due to facade work and the occupation of parts of the pavements, pedestrians may encounter difficulties walking along the pavements on Piłsudskiego, Groszowa, Grottgera and Prusa streets, as well as in some places on Wolności Street.

On the carriageway of Drzymały Street, milling of a section of bituminous surface and adjustment of inspection and drainage manholes is under way. On Karkonoska Street, work is being carried out to install “linear” drainage made of polymer-concrete prefabricated elements; on Zamkowa Street, the shoulder is being improved after the bituminous surface was laid. In the Urocza II housing estate, earthworks and a crushed-stone surface are being carried out to reinforce sections of the roads.

Meanwhile, the completion of work on the reconstruction of Wyzwolenia Narodowego Street has already been reported. The paving blocks on the approaches to the bridge over the Bóbr River along Jana Pawła II Street are being relaid, and work continues on installing protective mesh to prevent birds from accessing the bridge viaduct’s piers and bearings.
