A performance entitled “Stop Accidents” was held at Municipal Kindergarten No. 7 in Lubin. Thanks to an engaging multimedia programme and animations prepared by the Road Traffic Safety Popularization Centre in Wrocław, the children could see for themselves what might happen when playing with a ball near the road, stepping in front of an approaching car, or riding along the road on rollerblades or skates.
The preschoolers learned the basic road signs and how to cross a pedestrian crossing safely. They also learned the correct ways to behave in public places.
Naturally, the children’s friend, the police mascot Commissioner Leo, was also there.
During the campaign, the children solved a crossword together with a traffic police officer and took part in a short safety quiz. At the end, each child received a heart-shaped token connected with the campaign “Do you love them? Say STOP to reckless drivers”. The hearts featured slogans such as: “Daddy, we’re waiting at home. I LOVE YOU, drive carefully”, “Mum, we’re waiting at home. I LOVE YOU, drive carefully”, and “There are no pierogi in heaven. I LOVE YOU, drive carefully”.
