The project “Interactive School Memorial Room: A Bridge Connecting Generations” of Gimnazjum Samorządowe No. 2 named after Poles Deported to Siberia is one of 305 projects to receive a grant of PLN 20,000 in the “I Live Here, I Change Here” competition. The school may receive an additional prize if you decide to vote. It is in fifth place in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The Interactive School Memorial Room will be a place where youth and experience meet. The equipped room, featuring modern multimedia equipment and arranged as a film studio, will spark young people’s interest. Located in the city’s largest lower-secondary school, the Memorial Room will serve as a museum and a regional education center for all schools in the city and Bolesławiec Municipality.
“Creating the Memorial Room, and having students search for, find and discover mementos belonging to their grandparents and great-grandparents, strengthens a deep sense of connection with their Family, Region and local homeland. It is worth voting for our project,” says Maria Subik.
