Pursuant to the Statute of the City of Bolesławiec, the following committees have been appointed:
- Economic Development and Finance
- Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction
- Education, Culture and Sport
- Health, Family and Social Affairs.
Economic Development and Finance Committee: Dariusz Filistyński – chair, Eugeniusz Kowalski – deputy chair, Ariel Fecyk, Łukasz Jaźwiec, Piotr Klasa, Dariusz Mucha, Stanisław Wiącek. The Economic Development and Finance Committee is responsible in particular for matters concerning: economic initiatives and programmes and the promotion of the city; the budget, financial plans and municipal economy; local taxes and charges; management of municipal property; management of commercial premises; meeting collective social needs in the areas of supply, trade and services, and directions for market demonopolisation; shaping policy concerning land management and premises, and financial policy towards commercial and service entities; marketplaces and market halls; maintenance of local-government administration; land management; and the acquisition, disposal and encumbrance of real estate.
Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction Committee: Dariusz Mucha – chair, Adam Biesiadecki – deputy chair, Piotr Klasa, Eugeniusz Kowalski, Arkadiusz Krzemiński, Mirosław Sołtyszewski, Stanisław Wiącek. The Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Construction Committee is responsible in particular for matters concerning: the maintenance of municipal public-utility and administrative facilities; maintaining order and cleanliness in the city; water, gas, heating and electricity supplies; sewage disposal and treatment; the maintenance of landfills and waste disposal; the maintenance of municipal roads, streets, squares and bridges, as well as the naming of streets and squares; public transport and road traffic organisation; the maintenance of municipal cemeteries; housing policy, the assessment of housing applications, the assessment of draft lists for apartment leases and monitoring the implementation of apartment lease lists; environmental protection and management; local spatial development plans; investment planning and implementation; architecture and construction; and family allotment gardens.
Education, Culture and Sport Committee: Łukasz Jaźwiec – chair, Jan Leon Stasiak – deputy chair, Zdzisław Abramowicz, Adam Biesiadecki, Ariel Fecyk, Dariusz Filistyński, Łukasz Molak. The Education, Culture and Sport Committee is responsible in particular for matters concerning: education, including preschools, primary schools, lower-secondary schools and other educational and childcare institutions; culture, including municipal libraries, museums and other institutions promoting culture; the development of physical culture and the maintenance of recreational areas and sports facilities; and the promotion of competitive sport, recreation and physical culture.
Health, Family and Social Affairs Committee: Andrzej Żuk – chair, Eugeniusz Jabłoński – deputy chair, Bogdan Biernat, Ariel Fecyk, Renata Fredyk, Łukasz Molak, Alojzy Skóra. The Committee is responsible in particular for matters concerning: healthcare and the provision of healthcare services; social assistance, including care centres and facilities; mitigating the effects of unemployment in the city; promoting sobriety and preventing alcoholism and other addictions; public order and citizens’ safety, as well as fire and flood protection, including the equipment and maintenance of the municipal flood-response warehouse; counteracting social pathologies; cooperation with representatives of the District Court, District Prosecutor’s Office, County Police Headquarters, Municipal Guard, Municipal Social Welfare Centre, County Family Support Centre and school counsellors in carrying out tasks for the benefit of the family; family-oriented policy, including ensuring social, medical and legal care for pregnant women; cooperation with the other standing Committees of the City Council on family-oriented policy; and cooperation with local and regional communities of other countries.
The City Council appointed the Audit Committee to exercise the City Council’s authority to oversee the activities of the Mayor, municipal organisational units and the municipality’s auxiliary units. Pursuant to the Act on Municipal Self-Government, the Audit Committee consists of councillors, including representatives of all councillors’ clubs, except councillors serving as chair or deputy chair of the City Council. The Audit Committee consists of: Leszek Chudzik – chair, Jan Jasiukiewicz – deputy chair, Zdzisław Abramowicz, Eugeniusz Jabłoński, Arkadiusz Krzemiński.
There are three councillors’ clubs operating in the Bolesławiec City Council.
