The story of young Simba was performed on stage by children and young people from the workshops of the Singing Studio Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy, contemporary dance Halina Bałacka-Kłak, Break-Dance Paweł Klimek and Canon and Canonki, led by Krystyna Abramowicz.
Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy prepared the young amateurs for their stage and vocal performances. Standouts on stage included Wiktora Jędryczka (Zazu), Gabriel Burdzy (young Simba) and the charming Filip Lickiewicz (as Pumbaa). Justyna Scholz gave an excellent vocal performance; we will surely see her on bigger stages before long. The set, created by Waldemar Cieślak and Paweł Sponar (BOK-MCC), also made a strong impression.
The performance also featured: Wiktor Zatylny as the adult Simba, Marysia Szpila as newborn Simba, Bianka Pilitowska as young Nala and Wiktoria Kozinoga as adult Nala, Łukasz Chmielewski as Mufasa, Marcelina Walenga as Sarabi, Alicja Myśliwiec as Shenzi, Julia Pranić as Banzai, Patryk Kucharczyk as Ed, Karolina Sikora and Karol Lisiecki as Timon..
Sound editing: Piotr Gnyszka and Paweł Klimek; sound: Krzysztof Korczyński; lighting: Leszek Rzepka; technical support: Dariusz Uściński, Kacper Makówka, Jacek Dudyński and Radosław Klimek; multimedia support: Michał Piaskowski. Costumes and makeup: Eugenia Janeczek, Dorota Dziedzic-Lechowska, Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska, Agnieszka Podłaszczyk, Katarzyna Zarówny. Prompter: Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz.
The audience’s enthusiastic applause and admiration for the performers’ talent and skills are an excellent promotion of the work of BOK-MCC. In this way, the centre encourages young people from Bolesławiec to develop their passions in its art workshops. More than 1,000 people use the Amateur Artistic Movement programme every week. They attend more than twenty workshops. All classes at BOK-MCC are free of charge! Those still looking for a way to express themselves are invited to take advantage of BOK-MCC’s extensive holiday programme (details coming soon).
