Readers, friends and the author’s family came to the author event promoting the therapeutic fairy tale “Garbuska”. It is our journalist’s third published work. After A Guide to Morocco (ExpressMap) and the novel “Joachim” (NovaeRes), Grażyna Hanaf wrote a fairy tale about Matylda the hunchback.

The evening began with the BOK-MCC theatre group Ula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz. The actors read excerpts from the fairy tale. The children who came to the event with their parents could paint how they imagined the fairy-tale heroine. All the works will soon be presented on our portal.

The illustrations for the fairy tale were created by Anna Chaberek, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, now living in Stafford (United Kingdom), where she runs a gallery and actively participates every year in the “Open Art” exhibition at Shire Hall Galery.

Anna Choińska, a special guest, therapist and translator, spoke during the event about the power contained in a child’s love for their parents. “In my therapeutic work using Prekop’s Reconciliation with Parents method, I often take adult children in my arms and wait for love to enable them to reach their parents,” said Anna Choińska. “It is just like in Grażyna’s fairy tale—read it; it contains a path to parents and to love.”

The fairy tale Garbuska can be purchased at Agora bookshop (Bolesławiec Market Square) or online by ordering through the Internet at ISTOTNE.PL STORE

The co-organiser of the evening was the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre.

Grażyna Hanaf thanks the Bolesławiec City Center, the first shopping centre in Bolesławiec to meet the highest European standards, a place combining a rich retail, culinary, entertainment and cultural offering.
