The competition was organized by “Nowiny Jeleniogórskie” and the Nowiny Jeleniogórskie Foundation, in cooperation with a number of institutions involved in promoting our region. Partners and prize sponsors included the Karkonosze National Park, Hotel Kryształ and the Municipality of Szklarska Poręba, as well as the Jeleniogórska Strefa Fotografii Association, Samotnia Mountain Shelter in the Karkonosze, the Spirit of the Mountains Partnership LGD Association and the C.K. Norwid Theatre in Jelenia Góra.

Interest in the competition was considerable: the 34 photographers qualified for the competition submitted a total of 135 works. The standard of the photographs was very high, as can be seen in the post-competition exhibition. The photographs include landscapes of Szklarska Poręba and its immediate surroundings.

The winners were congratulated and presented with their prizes by the editor-in-chief of “Nowiny Jeleniogórskie,” Andrzej Buda; the mayor of Szklarska Poręba, Grzegorz Sokoliński; deputy director of KPN, Przemysław Tołoknow; president of the Jeleniogórska Strefa Fotografii Association, Dariusz Goetze; head of Galeria Skene, Janusz Jaremen; and the host of the ceremony, president of the Nowiny Jeleniogórskie Foundation, Daniel Antosik.
