The project addresses the needs and requests of local residents. Special lamps have been installed to direct light onto the crossing, making pedestrians more visible to drivers. Pedestrian- and disability-friendly access points from the pavements have also been prepared. The Municipal Roads Authority allocated PLN 40,000 to the project.

Legnica is consistently implementing the “Safe Pedestrian Crossing” programme. As part of it, more than 30 such locations have already been illuminated.
