Young Democrats from Bolesławiec attended Civic Platform’s national convention on Saturday. Our city was represented by: Wojciech Kasprzyk, Łukasz Król, Michał Chudzik, Michał Sroka, Paula Mazur, Przemek Klarecki and Katarzyna Fraś.
The Warsaw meeting of Civic Platform members and supporters mainly concerned the upcoming local government elections. Donald Tusk, Jan Maria Rokita, Jerzy Buzek, Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz and Stefan Niesiołowski expressed their views on local government in Poland. Stefan Niesiołowski’s speech, in which he sought to ridicule Civic Platform’s left-wing rivals, drew the loudest applause from the audience. The Young Democrats from Bolesławiec listened to speeches by Civic Platform leaders and took commemorative photographs.
