Several recreation zones for all age groups will be created in the city park. The new arrangement will also provide greater opportunities to use the park for organizing events promoting exercise and active leisure.
For the youngest children, a “Farm” corner has been planned, with equipment styled as a barn and a mill, as well as animal-shaped swings. A zone for preschools is being created farther on. A new feature is a set including inclusive equipment accessible to children who use wheelchairs.
Fitness equipment, equipment for seniors and a health trail are being installed in three sports and fitness zones. For older children, rope-net climbing equipment, a climbing wall and multifunctional playsets are being installed. Varied surfaces are intended to ensure safe play. Those looking for a quieter corner have not been forgotten either.
The playground design was prepared by PPU “Wood-Play”. The main contractor is Saternus Distribution from Chorzów. The investment is worth PLN 1,749,835. The funds come from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.
