The renovation of this historic piece of engineering in Kowary was made possible by work carried out by members of the Social Committee for the Rescue of the Railway Crane in Kowary and the funds they raised. The following institutions belong to the Committee:

After the unveiling of the new old railway crane, those interested could take a ride on a railway trolley, which appeared at the Kowary railway station that day thanks to the efforts of Fundacja Kolej Karkonoska.
The final point of the ceremony was the opening of an exhibition devoted to the railway in Kowary at the City Tradition Room at 1 Maja 1 (the second building of the Kowary Municipal Office, second floor). The exhibition can be viewed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:00–15:00. Admission is free.
