The preparation of documentation concerning the adaptation of the building in Obora at 48 Lubińska Street (the former Primary School) into a Day Care Home has been completed. The building will include rooms for, among other things, integration activities, rehabilitation and therapy, as well as accommodation for people in crisis situations (e.g. following natural disasters). The area around the building has also been designed, including gazebos, a garden and places for rest. The building is intended to serve the residents of Lubin Rural Commune.
– We want to create a place that will serve primarily people aged 50 and over – says Irena Rogowska, head of Lubin Rural Commune. – Together with the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Lubin, we will offer a wide range of activities for our seniors. Here, they will be able to take care of their health and exchange experiences while integrating with one another.
The plans also include employing a rehabilitation specialist and helping older and disabled people. If necessary, hairdressing services and other activities serving residents’ needs could also be launched in the building.
Outside, an area will be developed for rest and joint outdoor activities: a vegetable garden, gazebos and places for barbecuing, etc.
An important part of the planned activities will be cooperation with the Municipal Cultural Centre in Raszówka regarding the use of the community centre in Obora for cultural and workshop activities for seniors and others.
The plans also include cooperation with the sports club in Obora to organise joint recreational and sporting events.
The value of the completed design work amounted to PLN 26,445 gross.
