Much is said about the importance of breakfast in children’s daily nutrition, yet awareness in this area remains unsatisfactory. The teachers decided to show the children what a nutritious breakfast should look like.

The tables featured only healthy treats: white and yellow cheese, eggs, cold cuts, vegetables, fruit, yoghurt and milk. The little chefs enthusiastically got to work. After several dozen minutes, mice made of white cheese, sailboats made of eggs and imaginative, colourful sandwiches appeared on the plates. “It was nice to prepare and eat breakfast together with so many female and male classmates,” said the pupils of the Primary School in Ocice.

Pupils from the II Private Lower Secondary School joined them and recorded the children’s work on film. The report of the event will be a memorable keepsake.

The presence of the parents deserves special attention, as the teaching staff can always count on their help.

On that day, the school community managed to combine pleasure with benefit. The children had fun and, at the same time, learned how important a healthy breakfast every day is. Thanks to it, children have energy for learning, concentrate better and feel like playing. It is the best start to a new day!
