In May, we reported that Oliwia Ziembikiewicz, a representative of the “Gladiator” Bolesławiec Martial Arts Club—and the only female competitor in the country!—was called up to the Polish national team for the Muay Thai World Championships held in Malaysia. Our fighter won a silver medal there and became world runner-up. In the final, she lost on points to Malaysia’s Borhan Nurul Suahirah.
Now Oliwia will represent our city and KSW “Gladiator” at the WKF (World Kickboxing Federation) World Championships, which will be held in Prague, Czechia, from November 10 to 15.
The competitor will take part in the light-contact discipline (a fight wearing leg protectors, gloves and helmets; the bout can only be won on points).
The Istotne.pl editorial team is keeping its fingers crossed for our fighter.
