As part of the police operation “Winter 2014/2015”, officers will check places where homeless people may be staying. Police officers will also pay attention to people under the influence of alcohol (they are particularly vulnerable to freezing to death), provide information and help them reach facilities supporting homeless people and others requiring care.
Police officers appeal to all residents of Bolesławiec County to report every person they notice lying or sitting on the ground, on benches, at bus stops or in garden allotment huts who could be at risk of hypothermia. Let’s not be indifferent! Our response could save someone’s life.
