– We plan to begin testing residents on November 3. From that day, people will be able to register at our clinic for both densitometry tests and prostate cancer screening. The latter will also be carried out at both CDT Medicus clinics in Lubin – informs Andrzej Śrutwa, president of the NZOZ Occupational Medicine Center in Lubin.
Free densitometry tests for osteoporosis will be available to female residents of Lubin County aged 45 to 65 at the clinic on Słoneczna Street in Lubin – Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – following prior in-person or telephone registration at 76 841 01 00 or 76 841 02 45.
Early prostate cancer detection tests for men aged between 50 and 65 will be conducted at the clinic on Słoneczna Street and at the two CDT Medicus clinics in Lubin.
– These tests will also be performed on Saturdays. To register, call the clinic where the patient wishes to have the test performed – adds Andrzej Śrutwa. Medicus will handle registration at 695 307 301.
– The final elements of the county healthcare program will be vaccinations against human papillomavirus (HPV) and educating young people about providing first aid before professional medical assistance arrives. Tender procedures to select contractors for both tasks have already begun, and we will soon start implementing the program’s final provisions – says Damian Stawikowski, deputy head of Lubin County.
The county healthcare program will be implemented from 2014 to 2017, and the County intends to allocate PLN 4 million to its implementation.
County officials also remind residents that free flu vaccinations for people over 65 are still being provided. Vaccinations are available at seven medical facilities in Lubin County: both Medicus facilities in Lubin, as well as clinics in Miłoradzice 66, Szklary Górne 50, Siedlce 34, Raszówka (at 1 Maja Street 12), and Ścinawa (at Jagiełły Street 2).
