The fire broke out before 10:00 a.m. Witnesses say they heard one or two loud explosions. The fire first appeared on the lower floor of the building and then spread to the attic. Nearby houses were at risk. Seven fire service vehicles arrived at the scene, including units from Nowogrodziec and Osiecznica. Extinguishing the fire took more than an hour and a half.

Unofficial reports emerged that someone had died. The arrival of a prosecutor and an investigative team at the scene of the fire may confirm this.

The body of a man and two firearms were found in the burned house. The prosecutor's office is awaiting the opinion of a fire expert and the results of the autopsy. Once this information is obtained, it will be known whether the man set fire to the house and committed suicide.

Five people lived in the burned house in addition to the deceased owner. The losses were estimated at PLN 150,000. The fire victims have temporarily moved in with family.
