Participants also visited ceramic studios at Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre, themed exhibitions, and the “2014 Post-plein-air Exhibition – Contemporary Art.” At the Museum of Ceramics, they admired items created from the 12th century to the present day.
The workshops at the “Manufaktura” Stoneware Factory included creating plaster moulds, casting, and forming on a potter’s wheel. Participants learned glazing techniques: spraying and dipping, as well as underglaze and overglaze decoration. Firing: biscuit firing and “hard” firing of glazed products.
The visit to the decorating studio, where products are decorated by hand according to strict, selected patterns, attracted considerable interest.
