Membership among Poland’s best swimmers was confirmed by Iza Tkaczyk, who won five gold and two silver medals. The athlete coached by Krzysztof Wróbel finished second among swimmers born in 2000–2001 in the meet’s final standings. Iza’s times in the 50 m freestyle (27.74 s) and 200 m freestyle (2:12.70 min) are currently the second-best results in Poland in this age category.
After health problems, Agata Knapik is returning to very good form. She won three gold and one silver medal, finishing seventh in the final standings.
“I am pleased with these results, especially because after the very successful Polish Championships for us, where Iza came close to winning two medals, we reduced the training load so that the girls’ bodies could get some rest,” says Krzysztof Wróbel. “Our club is beginning to make a name for itself on Poland’s swimming map, and it is nice to hear praise from coaches and officials of other clubs that have much greater achievements and traditions. Together with Wiktor Łodyga, who trains our younger swimmers, we are convinced that our athletes will bring us much joy next year.”
