The guests at the inauguration included, among others, the mayor of Tadeusz Krzakowski, representatives of neighbouring local authorities, other higher and secondary schools in Legnica, and company executives.
– I wish you success in your studies and teaching work, said the mayor. – I am pleased that the university is developing. It is an important academic centre in the region and is also highly significant for economic life in the city.
The Legnica Branch Teaching Centre currently provides education in four faculties: Civil and Water Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geoengineering, Mining and Geology, and Mechanical Engineering. Next year, they will be transformed into one Faculty of Technology and Natural Sciences.
