Currently, work is underway on Galaktyczna Street along the section from the intersection with Plutona Street to the intersection with Górnicza Street. The reconstruction of this intersection was completed in August. During the work, thick layers of the subbase were replaced, as was the old asphalt surface with concrete paving blocks. The pavements were reconstructed. Within the intersection, on the section leading to the exit from Piłsudskiego Avenue, additional work related to the construction of a new sewer system was carried out. The section from Oś Kartuska to the intersection with Plutona Street, together with the parking area, was also reconstructed. The lighting was also replaced in this location.
The reconstruction of Galaktyczna Street includes, among other things, replacing the asphalt surface with concrete paving blocks, along with replacing the road subbase and reconstructing the pavements on both sides. The parking area and bus bay will be modernized. The investment will cost approximately PLN 1.2 million gross.
The reconstruction of Plutona Street is also well advanced. Work on the parking area has been completed. The subbase and surface are currently being replaced on the section from the parking area to Galaktyczna Street. Paved-block pavements are being built, green areas will be developed, and another section of infrastructure required for the Legman network will be installed. The total value of the investment is over PLN 858,000 gross.
