The organizers invite visitors to the BOK-MCC Long Gallery. The work of this woman from Bolesławiec will interest not only art lovers and coffee connoisseurs, but also those who want to see that this popular beverage can be used as paint.
Jolanta Dusza, a resident of Bolesławiec, has been teaching mathematics professionally for thirty years and is also a teacher of computer science and physics. But her true passion is painting, especially the very old, though rarely used, technique of painting with coffee. She was inspired to pursue this form of art by one of the world's best-known masters of the technique, Karen Eland, the creator of acclaimed coffee reproductions of famous paintings.
The works presented at the “Coffee-Painted” exhibition depict views of our city, landscapes, flowers and animals. The artist also creates portraits, which are extremely popular and most often end up with the people depicted in them.
Last year, the artist's works could be seen at an exhibition at the Municipal Cultural Centre in Żory, the House of Music and Dance in Zabrze, and the Izera Artistic Gallery in Kromnów. In addition, during that period she received an invitation to the World Coffee Celebration in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
During the opening, visitors will be able to taste Balkan-style coffee, prepared by the Association of Returnees from Bosnia, Their Descendants and Friends.
