This year’s Polish Championships will feature 33 club teams, including the strongest centers in the country, such as AZS UWM and Start Olsztyn, AZS Warszawa and AZS Poznań.
Among the decorated athletes registered for the Polish Senior Championships are, among others, Michał Łoniewski (AZS Warszawa), a London Olympian and a bronze medalist at this year’s World University Championships in China; Katarzyna Lis (AZS Poznań) and Aleksandra Krzemieniecka (AZS Warszawa), the current European runners-up; as well as Karol Chołubowicz (LSW Legionowo), the U21 European champion from Innsbruck (September 2014), and Albert Milert (AZS OŚ Poznań), a bronze medalist at the Junior World Championships in Taiwan in January.
Bolesławiec will be represented by athletes from LMKS Gladius, the current Polish youth runners-up in the under-21 category – Paulina Stojanowska and Kamil Serafin.
The championships are organized by the Polish Olympic Taekwondo Association. As the event’s host, the Bolesławiec Municipal Commune provides financial support, while MOSiR Bolesławiec and LMKS Gladius are responsible for event operations.
Competition in all weight categories will begin on Saturday, October 11 at 10:00 a.m., while the final gala will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the sports hall of Municipal School Complex No. 2 on Jana Pawła II Street in Bolesławiec. Admission is free.
