On October 6, 2014, at the age of 77, Sister Zofia Bolesława Zawadzka ASC passed away. From 1979 to 1985, she served as provincial superior of the Congregation of the Sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ.
Within the community and among her loved ones—as well as among the people with whom she worked and met—she will be remembered as an enthusiastic proclaimer of the charism and spirituality of the Blood of Christ. For many years, with her characteristic determination, she sought a variety of ways to reach others with the good news of redemption, forgiveness and love found in Jesus.
Catechesis, office work, translations, retreats for young people and adults, and work with members of the Association of the Blood of Christ all contributed to Sister Zofia becoming a friend and spiritual companion to many.
Sister Zofia, we still need your prayers. We trust that you have already met your Beloved Savior; please intercede for those who are still on their journey.
A Mass for Sister Zofia will be celebrated on October 9 at 12:00 at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bolesławiec (Castle Square); the ceremony at the cemetery will begin at 13:30.
