The competition was held on Saturday. In addition to the Wrocław team, volleyball players from Bolesławiec, Głogów and Jawor took part. Only one team could advance to the next stage of the championship, which is why the matches were fiercely contested. The coaches and supporters were also caught up in the excitement. The heated atmosphere contributed to a tight and interesting contest. Ultimately, the competition was won by the MOS Wrocław volleyball team. The following places were taken by: MKS Piat Głogów, UKS Volley Bolesławiec and Olimpia Jawor.

Bolesławiec players in Saturday’s tournament

In Saturday’s tournament, the UKS Volley Bolesławiec volleyball players faced the team from Głogów. Overall, it was already the fourth meeting between these teams. In the previous tournaments, the Bolesławiec players had always won. In Saturday’s match, our volleyball players maintained their lead until the score reached 23:16. Unfortunately, the set ended badly for the Bolesławiec team.

Too many serving errors and mistakes in reception led to a 26:28 defeat. In the second set, the Bolesławiec players proved better, winning 25:23. Unfortunately, the third set already belonged to the MKS Głogów players. The Głogów team won it 18:16 and the entire match 2:1. The Głogów team’s victory meant that UKS Volley Bolesławiec faced MKS Olimpia Jawor in the next match. The UKS Volley players won that match 2:1 (23:25, 26:24, 15:12), which ultimately gave them third place in the tournament and fifth place in Lower Silesia. Fifth place in Lower Silesia is a considerable achievement for the team coached by Waldemar Kowalski. This would not have been possible without the commitment of the people and companies supporting the team and youth training. They include Jan Cołokidzi, Stanisław Małkowski, the Smoleński family and Apla printing house.
