A defibrillator has been available in the Legnica Town Hall since October 2 — a device that can save a person’s life in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. It is located right next to the reception desk, on the ground floor of the City Office. All municipal office employees have been trained in its use.
The device performs an ECG examination, analyzes the recording and provides voice instructions on whether defibrillation is necessary. In every case, it is essential to call the Ambulance Service at the same time. Installing a defibrillator increases the safety of office visitors, though only to a small extent. It can help 1 in 25 people receiving assistance.
