The passports presented by the Ukrainians did not have the required visa authorizing entry into our country. While searching their luggage, police officers found more passports, this time Polish ones. The documents were forged. They had photographs of the persons being checked affixed to them. In addition to the passports, police found a blank forged driving licence.

The three Ukrainians wanted to get to Germany using forged passports. Arranging their illegal departure from Ukraine cost them 1,600 euros. It is not yet known how the Polish documents ended up in Ukraine. No one in the country reported them stolen or lost. The three Ukrainian citizens face up to five years in prison.
