The tournament was one of the stages in the preparations of the BTS Elektros Bolesławiec senior team for the upcoming league season.
Besides the host team, league teams from Ząbkowice Śląskie, Kowary, Żarów, Lubsko, Wrocław and Litvinov (Czech Republic) competed in the event. The competition took place in two phases. In the first part of the tournament, the teams competed in two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the next stage: the final phase.
After several hours of competition—with matches played at a high volleyball level—the championship title was won by the team from Ząbkowice, which defeated the hosts 2:0 (25:22, 25:23) after a closely fought match. Third place went to SPS Lubsko, winners of the Lubusz league in the previous season.
The tournament was organized by Bolesławieckie Towarzystwo Siatkarskie. It was held thanks to financial support from the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and assistance from the District Office in Bolesławiec, as well as sponsors and companies: Elektros, A. Rogalski, Mirko, JAWA, Stomadent, Spółdzielnia STW and Bart Music.
