The incident took place on Sunday, September 14. At around 6:00 p.m., the Legnica police dispatcher received information that the driver of a Volkswagen van was driving at high speed and performing dangerous maneuvers: overtaking in prohibited places and cutting off other drivers. The caller suspected that the man was drunk.
The road pirate was detained. He turned out to be a 48-year-old resident of Upper Silesia. He was sober. He explained to the officers that... he was in a hurry. He then tried to offer the officers a PLN 200 bribe.
The 48-year-old was taken into police custody. He now faces up to 8 years in prison.
