In the sixth-round match of the Lower Silesian fourth division, BKS Bobrzanie drew 1–1 with Granica Bogatynia. The outcome was decided in the first half. Emmanuel Ohagwu scored for BKS. The BKS striker found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and did not waste the opportunity. A few minutes later, Łukasz Duduć equalized with a free kick.
The beginning of the match was very nervous for both sides. Despite this, BKS created the first dangerous chance in front of the opponents’ goal, but Granica’s goalkeeper saved Ohagwu’s excellent shot. In the 16th minute, after a great pass from Dudka to Ohagwu, the latter found himself alone in front of the visitors’ goal and easily put the ball into the net, making it 1–0 for BKS. It seemed that after taking the lead, further goals for our team would only be a matter of time. Unfortunately, Granica Bogatynia responded surprisingly quickly. In the 19th minute, Duduć produced an excellent free-kick strike from around 35 metres, and Mazur, who was guarding our goal, had no chance. After the equalizer, Granica dropped deep, defending access to its own goal tightly. Despite this, we managed to launch several dangerous attacks. In the 28th minute, Kapusz shot, but Granica’s goalkeeper had no trouble making the save. Just before the break, we should have taken the lead. Kosior set up Ohagwu, who was in excellent form that day, but the popular Mańku’s powerful shot went just over the crossbar.
The course of the game did not change in the second half. BKS Bobrzanie Bolesławiec sought the winning goal, while Granica Bogatynia focused on effective defending, clearly satisfied with the draw. In the 59th minute, Bochnia was in a good position after a free kick, but our captain’s shot was off target. Four minutes later, Bochnia again—this time with a header—shot at Granica’s goal, but the ball bounced off the visitors’ crossbar. In the 66th minute, after a cleverly worked free kick, Dzięgleski was in a good position, but the Granica goalkeeper parried our striker’s shot well. As time passed and BKS remained unable to score the winning goal, the visitors gradually began creating chances of their own; fortunately, Mazur was always alert.
It should have been 2–1 for our team in the 75th minute. Rudyk delivered a good pass from the right, but Dzięgleski’s close-range shot went just wide of the post. A minute later, we created another chance that should have brought us a goal. Rudyk did brilliantly just outside the opponents’ penalty area and, after beating two opponents, found himself alone in front of their goal. Unfortunately, this time too, the ball went past the post and once again we were left disappointed. In the 81st minute, Rudyk again found himself in a good position, but his bicycle-kick attempt did not give us the lead. In the final minutes, the visitors created several excellent chances, but fortunately for BKS they lacked precision. The score did not change until the final whistle, and the points were shared.
