The oratorio "Świętokrzyska Golgotha" lasted more than an hour and a half. Not only residents of Bolesławiec came to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. There were listeners from Jelenia Góra, Legnica and Wrocław—in total, almost a thousand people.
Piotr Rubik conducted the choir of the Institute of Music Education of the Świętokrzyska Academy, the Kielce Chamber Choir "Fermata" and the Orchestra of the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra. The soloists were Joanna Słowińska, Dorota Marczyk, Janusz Radek and Maciej Miecznikowski. Paweł Deląg was the narrator.
However, only those who had bought tickets could see the musicians, choir, soloists and conductor. The announced outdoor video screen was not installed outside the church because the company that was supposed to install it had not anticipated the frost and could not stretch the shrunken screen over the metal frame.
BOK statement
We apologize to all music lovers who did not get tickets for the Świętokrzyska Golgotha Oratorio but came to watch it on the previously announced outdoor video screen, which was not available. We explain that during installation, the screen frame broke because of the low temperature, damaging the screen in two places. Fearing that the defect would permanently damage the equipment, and because the low temperature persisted, the technical team decided to withdraw from carrying out the order. In this critical situation, resolving the problem on our part was impossible.
