The Foundation for the Development of the Education System – the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme, following its assessment of applications submitted under the Youth sector – Action 1 – Learning Mobility, has approved the project entitled “Land of Wonders” for implementation and awarded it funding of €11,814.
The lower secondary school students, together with their peers from two Italian towns (Vallecorsa and Acuto), will travel into the world of European fairy tales and legends in September and October. During their stay in Bolesławiec, the project participants will examine the stories and characters, take on the roles of magical beings, and prepare a performance based on the selected texts they consider the most interesting.
The initiative is being carried out in cooperation with the Bolesławiec City Municipality, as were previous activities involving young people from Municipal Lower Secondary School No. 3 and Vallecorsa: the “A Passionate Person – an Active Citizen” project (in 2011, as part of the “Youth in Action” programme) and a performance dedicated to Maria de Mattias, staged in Italy in June this year.
