All that remains is to apply an artificial polyurethane surface to the completed base of the handball and volleyball courts. If the weather is favorable, this work will not take long.

This new sports complex, built as part of the city’s educational infrastructure standardization program, will be used, among other things, for curricular and extracurricular activities במסגרת preventive programs. Residents of the surrounding housing estates will also be able to spend their free time actively and engage in sports there.

The courts at Primary School No. 19 were built many years ago using outdated technologies. They had no drainage, the asphalt surface cracked and deteriorated, and the equipment became worn out. Legnica now has another modern sports complex. It includes handball and minifootball courts, as well as basketball and volleyball courts, with a total area of nearly 2,500 square meters. The external surface is colored polyurethane. Around the courts there is a running track with a 75-meter straight section and a long-jump pit. The investment cost approximately one million zlotys.

This will be the 16th sports complex built in Legnica in recent years. Such facilities have been constructed, for example, at the Integrated Schools Complex on ul. Wierzyńskiego, General Secondary School Complex No. 3 on ul. Mazowiecka, General Secondary School Complex No. 2 on ul. Radosna, Primary School No. 7 on ul. Polarna, Primary School No. 1 on ul. Kamienna, Middle School No. 4 in the Piast Castle, the Automotive Schools Complex on ul. Słubicka, Primary School No. 4 on ul. Piastowska, Middle School No. 5 on ul. Chojnowska, Primary School No. 9 on ul. Marynarska, Primary School No. 10 on ul. Jaworzyńska, Primary School No. 18 on ul. Grabskiego, the Construction Schools Complex on ul. Grabskiego, and the Fifth General Secondary School on ul. Senatorska. The facilities of the White Eagle Stadium, together with its auxiliary pitches and athletics infrastructure in the Municipal Park, serve the entire city.
