The crime took place on August 28 in Jelenia Góra. The victim, an 81-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra, notified the police about the theft. The elderly woman let two young women into her home. They asked her for a piece of paper and a pen, allegedly because they wanted to leave a message for an absent neighbor.
While one of the fraudsters distracted the apartment owner, the other searched the 81-year-old woman's room. She stole several thousand zlotys.
The police are searching for the perpetrators. They may face up to 8 years in prison.
