As the organisers announce, if we want to hear the brilliant yet still little-known works of Jan Dismas Zelenka, it is best to choose a concert conducted by his compatriot, Vaclav Luks, whose mission has become promoting the work of a Baroque composer who was forgotten until recently.

The ensembles Collegium 1704 and Collegium Vocale 1704, founded by Luks, specialise in presenting the music of the “Czech Bach,” earning international acclaim in the process. Among the outstanding soloists, particular attention should be paid to soprano Hana Blazikova, endowed by nature not only with talent but also with a voice timbre ideally suited to interpreting Baroque music.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, 7 September at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall (Market Square), the Concert: Sentimentalism and Romanticism – German sonatas for keyboard instruments accompanied by violin will be held.

Performers:

  • Liana Mosca – violin
  • Pierre Goy – fortepiano

Programme:

  • Friedrich Wilhelm Rust (1739–1796) – Sonata in B minor for violin and fortepiano
  • Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714–1788) – Clavier-Fantasie mit Begleitung einer Violine in F-sharp minor H. 536, Wq. 80

  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) – Six variations in G minor on the theme “Hélas, j'ai perdu mon amant” for violin and fortepiano, KV 360/374b

We warmly invite you to this extraordinary musical feast!
