– These regulations apply exclusively to pedestrians travelling outside built-up areas and only in places where there are no separate pavements. This provision does not apply in built-up areas – explains Staff Sergeant Jan Pociecha, press officer of the Lubin police.

For residents of many villages in Lubin County, this means they need to obtain reflective elements by the nearest Sunday. – We hope that pedestrians will comply with the new provision, because it will certainly improve safety on the road. A vehicle driver will have a chance to notice a pedestrian sooner and react appropriately – adds Jan Pociecha.
