The star of Sunday evening was the outstanding vocalist Ewa Farna. Before the artist appeared on stage, however, the audience chanted her name for a long time. And after 9 p.m., Ewa did indeed appear on stage—only it was... Lijewska-Małachowska, director of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramic Centre, who opened the concert by reminding participants in the anniversary BŚC that Farna had received the Amber Nightingale at the Polsat Sopot Festival that Saturday.

The popular vocalist did not disappoint. To say that Ewa Farna is a volcanic force of energy on stage would be an understatement. What is more, the artist captivated the audience not only with her singing and stage presence—she performed one of the songs while swinging on a swing—but also with her unaffected manner and self-deprecating sense of humour (“I’m the vocalist with the biggest butt. And I’m alive”).

The star of the Polish and Czech music scenes performed her biggest hits, including “Tajna misja”, “Znak”, “Ewakuacja” and “Bez łez”, which, as it turned out, were very well known to the Bolesławiec audience. Those who came to the concert seemed to know almost all of Farna’s lyrics by heart.

Before the encore, the vocalist received original Bolesławiec ceramics from Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska. Then the audience heard two more songs: the very personal “Przepraszam”, performed solely with keyboard accompaniment, and the superb “Cicho”.

The 20th anniversary Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival traditionally ended with a fireworks display.

The 20th Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival is being carried out as part of the ARGINET project, co-financed by the European Union under the Culture programme. The organiser of the 20th Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival is the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramic Centre.
