Last weekend (15–17 August), at the invitation of the City of Świnoujście, Jelenia Góra and Szklarska Poręba, representing the Karkonosze brand, took part in the celebration of seafarers and sailors, presenting their tourist offer.
Despite the changeable and windy weather, the event attracted large numbers of visitors—holidaymakers and residents of Świnoujście—and Władysław IV Quay became a place that simply had to be visited for three days. Upon entering the event grounds, it was impossible to miss one of the largest stands: the Jelenia Góra and Karkonosze stand.
The promotion of the mountains by the sea was a great surprise, and numerous competitions and games meant that the number of visitors in front of the red tents did not decrease even for a moment. Treatments promoting Cieplice Health Resort, including eye rinses with thermal water, as well as mini art workshops conducted and prepared by an employee of the Karkonosze Museum, attracted considerable interest.
The most sought-after information concerned accommodation options, cycling and skiing routes, and tourist attractions. There was also noticeable interest in the offer dedicated to the residents of Świnoujście, prepared for them as part of the joint Gościnne Miasta project.
In accordance with the promise made, special packages awaited all residents of Jelenia Góra who, while spending time by the sea, visited the port—even if only briefly.
