The festival, as usual, took place on the floodplain along Nadbrzeżna Street. From 2:30 p.m., the Mad Fitness club from Legnica gave an impressive fitness performance on stage. Visitors could listen to the Biesiadni street band from Środa Śląska, attend a concert by the Avocado group and have fun with Legnica’s Remix band. The biggest attraction of the day in Zakaczawie was the 10th Open Legnica Pierogi-Making Championship. Ten people took part in the competition, with the task of making as many pierogi as possible within one hour.

The most prolific participants were: Anna Ćwik – 366, Honorata Kochel – 345, Halina Krzemińska – 344. The jury (comprising Deputy Mayor Ryszard Białek, Municipal Council members: Bogumiła Słomczyńska, Małgorzata Nowosielska, Ewa Szymańska and Piotr Żabicki) awarded a special prize to Halina Krzemińska for the most attractive creations. All championship participants received household appliances and certificates.

The event also included a cake and food fair, recreational games with prizes (rolling-pin throwing, the longest vegetable peel, basketball throws, skier and lumberjack races, nail driving and wood sawing), a small raffle, an outdoor painting event and inflatable attractions.

The event was organized by the Sports and Recreation Centre and St. Jacek Parish.
