In July, the Technical Project Assessment Team examined the proposals for social projects, checking all of them for compliance with the adopted formal, legal and procedural requirements. Among other things, their compliance with local spatial development plans was assessed; it was checked whether they were located exclusively on land owned by the municipality; and their estimated cost was calculated, as the implementation cost of each project should be within PLN 200,000.
The Technical Project Assessment Team consisted of representatives of the relevant departments of the City Hall, as well as the Municipal Roads Authority and the Municipal Housing Management Authority.
The final list of 49 projects recommended for the entire city was established on 18 August this year, following their analysis and an earlier vote, by the Project Qualification Team. The team consists of individual representatives of the Public Benefit Council, the Sports Council, the District Social Council for People with Disabilities, the Legnica Senior Citizens’ Council, the Youth Municipal Council, Piekary Housing Cooperative, the Legnica Housing Cooperative, as well as the Legnica City Council (5 people) and industry specialists representing the city president (5 people).
Applicants whose projects were not accepted will be promptly informed in writing of the reasons.

Residents will vote on the projects, both electronically and traditionally – at ballot boxes – from 1 to 8 October this year. The City Hall will systematically inform residents about the voting rules through a special campaign and announcements published on the City Hall website www.legnica.eu.
The voting results will be announced by 24 October. The procedure will conclude with the inclusion of the selected tasks in the draft city budget for 2015.
