The incident occurred on Sunday, August 17, after 9 p.m. in Lubin. A city resident called the police duty officer. She said she had seen a young man kicking a car parked in an unguarded parking lot in the Świerczewskiego housing estate.
A police patrol immediately went to the scene. After a short pursuit, the vandal was detained. He was taken into police custody. It turned out that he was drunk and had nearly one per mille of alcohol in his system.
Officers determined that the man had argued with his girlfriend, so he took out his aggression on the car. He kicked it, damaging its bodywork.
The 21-year-old resident of Lubin now faces up to five years in prison.
