Officers from Jelenia Góra arrested a 34-year-old woman suspected of fraud. The woman had worked as a sales assistant in one of Jelenia Góra’s shoe stores. As officers established, from September of the previous year until July, she acted to the detriment of her employer by falsifying reports on the daily takings. According to police, she did so at least 56 times. What is more, the suspect had been taking money from the cash register. The injured party estimated the losses at more than PLN 10,000.
The case is developing, and it cannot be ruled out that the woman has committed more offenses of this type. The 34-year-old was placed in police custody. She faces up to 8 years in prison.
