Half of the women eligible for a free mammogram as part of the Population-Based Early Detection of Breast Cancer Program have still not taken advantage of the opportunity to gain peace of mind about their health. If you are among those who have already had the examination, become an ambassador for prevention and encourage your friends to register for a check-up! If you have not yet had one—come for the examination together!
Mammography is the most important diagnostic examination for detecting breast cancer. Since it is the most common malignant tumor among mature women, it can be said that mammography is the most important examination that a health-conscious woman should undergo regularly.
Some women do not realize how important regular check-ups and prevention are. By enabling the early detection of cancerous changes, they allow for an almost 100% cure rate. We encourage you to actively join in promoting this Program among those closest to you!
Mammograms will be available in mobile mammography units visiting:
- Osiecznica – August 11 in the parking lot by the Municipal Office, 43 Lubańska Street
- Nowogrodziec – August 12 in the parking lot by the City Office, 1 Rynek Street.
Did you not receive a personal invitation for the examination? No problem—if you are between 50 and 69 years old (born between 1945 and 1964) and have not had a mammogram in the past two years, you are entitled to a free examination.
To avoid having to wait in line at the mobile mammography unit, Lux Med Diagnostyka recommends registering in advance at 586 662 444. The Call Center is open 7 days a week. Information about the examinations is also available on the website www.mammo.pl.
