On Thursday, Bolec.Info published an article titled “See Who Will Perform at the Ceramics Festival.” The portal listed the band Piersi as a headliner. No one at BOK-MCC confirmed this lineup. It is already 100% certain that Piersi will not perform here. Ewa Farna’s performance is also highly uncertain.
BOK-MCC asked Marcin Marczewski of Bolec.Info to remove the false information. Marczewski did not do so, giving too many views as the reason*. He only added a dozen or so words to the news article.
The unprofessional journalists at Bolec.Info probably carelessly copied down the names of bands with which BOK-MCC was only negotiating contracts. In this way, readers were misled. The cultural center will be negotiating and finalizing contracts until the end of next week. Once they are signed, it will announce the concert lineup for the August festival.
The information on Bolec.Info initially stated that the portal had managed to obtain the information. Marczewski later corrected it to say that it had not been officially confirmed. He should have written that part of the lineup was made up, because it is already known that Piersi will not be there.
Update: 2014-06-27 18:08
Bolec.Info eventually added at the very bottom of its article that Piersi would not perform. However, at the beginning of the article, readers can still read that the band will play in Bolesławiec.
* We received the information about Marcin Marczewski’s reasoning from BOK-MCC. Marcin Marczewski denied saying anything about views, so we are striking through this fragment.
