On June 25, at the Village Community Center in Żeliszów, Bolesławiec Commune Head – Andrzej Dutkowski met with students who, in the 2013/2014 school year, achieved the best academic results and won top honors in competitions and olympiads, as well as sixth-grade and third-year middle-school students who achieved at least 95 or 90% of the points possible on tests and examinations organized by the Regional Examination Board in Wrocław.
“This moment is always special,” said the Bolesławiec Commune Head, Andrzej Dutkowski. “The results achieved by children and young people living in Bolesławiec Commune show that the funds we allocate to education each year enable our students to develop.”
All the award recipients were divided into five groups. First, awards, diplomas, and letters of congratulations went to primary-school students who achieved an average grade of at least 5.2 in compulsory subjects and received an exemplary or very good conduct grade. This group included 42 students, and the awards were presented by the Bolesławiec Commune Head and the Chair of the Bolesławiec Commune Council – Bogusław Uziej.

Young people who received awards in subject and artistic competitions were also recognized, as were those who achieved high scores on tests and examinations. The scholarships were presented by Andrzej Dutkowski and Józef Hunek – Deputy Chair of the Bolesławiec Commune Council.
The penultimate group of award recipients consisted of nine students who achieved a very high average and were also winners of subject competitions or achieved very high scores on a test or examination (905 in middle school or 95% in primary school). The final scholarship recipients were those who were the most talented in the 2013/2014 school year. The Commune Head – Andrzej Dutkowski and Deputy Head – Roman Jaworski congratulated the most talented students.
The gala also provided an opportunity to thank the directors of commune and municipal schools.
“Without the commitment of the directors, teachers, and parents, the students would not have achieved such results and successes,” the Commune Head added. “That is why, from this place, we would also like to thank you. We hope you will not cease your efforts.”
During the gala, students from the Primary School in Żeliszów presented a short artistic program. An excellent performance was also given by a student from the Primary School in Kruszyn, recently honored at the Lower Silesian Talent Gala – Szymon Chlastawa.
