On Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., we encourage you to visit our offices, where children will be examined, the gym, where preventive exercises will be demonstrated, and to take part in a competition for the most beautiful drawing. The event will be held at the headquarters of Provita, at 7A Grunwaldzka Street. All parents interested in having their children’s posture examined are asked toreserve a place in advance by telephone: 75 64471 71.

As part of the “Provita for the Youngest” campaign, we had the pleasure of hosting more than 250 children aged 5 to 10 at our centre. The primary purpose of these visits is to familiarise preschoolers and pupils in the youngest grades of primary school with what physiotherapists do at a centre like ours. And although for many of them the word “physiotherapy” itself is new and difficult to pronounce, the trip is, as they say themselves, very interesting.

The children have the most fun in the gym and the medical shop—in places where they can see and try out colourful equipment that serves not only for play, but also for health.

Physical therapy treatments arouse interest, especially cryotherapy, Sollux treatments and whirlpool baths. Where a child can feel heat, cold, wetness and dryness, it is easier to explain how these factors can affect human health. Children also have the opportunity to see the dental office from a completely different perspective than before. During the trip, inquisitive visitors can talk to adult patients who are waiting for their scheduled treatments. Such situations help introduce children to concepts such as “person with a disability”, “physiotherapy” and “treatment through movement”.

On behalf of the NZOZ Provita team, I warmly invite parents and children to visit us on 7 June.
