The temporary exhibition “Spring Fashion Show,” prepared from the collections of the National Museum in Wrocław, was presented in a very original way at the Museum of Ceramics on Kutuzowa Street.

A wardrobe full of dresses from the 1920s and 1930s and outfits styled after clothing from the first half of the 20th century awaited the women and girls visiting the museum. The art deco-style dresses were the most popular items to try on. There were boas, strings of pearls, veils, mittens, gloves and stoles.

The guests listened to a lecture by Dr Małgorzata Możdżyńska-Nawotka, curator of the exhibition “Makeup, Beauty, Art,” in which she presented the ways women have enhanced their beauty throughout history.

Around a dozen women appeared as models in the fashion show. The show, presented with excellent commentary, was hosted by Johanna Kutschera. The show was prepared in cooperation with Bożena Jędrzejczyk and Barbara Delimat, as well as Danuta Maślicka and Stanisław Pieliński, owner of the Private Collection of Radio Technology Monuments and Related Equipment “Radio Retro”.

The women received professional makeup from Alicja Konon-Patera and Agnieszka Górna from the Makeup Studio.

Johanna Kutschera and Sabina Hil presented jewelry of their own making, crafted from felt, metal and precious stones. Photographs: Grzegorz Sidorowicz, Krzysztof Jędrzejczyk, Marek Skała and the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec.
