The incident took place on 19 May between Tomaszów Bolesławiecki and Kruszyn. The helicopter, carrying two people, crashed into one of the fields. The helicopter pilot probably intended to land.
Both people flying in the helicopter were injured. An air ambulance transported the more seriously injured person to a hospital in Legnica. The other person was taken to a hospital in Bolesławiec.
The two-seat Robinson R22 helicopter probably belonged to a resident of Gmina Warta Bolesławiecka. Traffic on a section of Road No. 94 was blocked for over an hour.
