To mark the tenth anniversary of Poland’s accession to the European Union and to commemorate Jerzy Szmajdziński, annual street races will be held in Bolesławiec on 1 May. These races promote and popularize running as a form of physical activity.
The “Lower Silesian European Runs named after Jerzy Szmajdziński – Bolesławiec 2014” are open to all and are intended for everyone who enjoys competition in the spirit of fair play.
Information for participants:
- date and venue: 1 May 2014 in Bolesławiec
- registration: race office at the “Orka” swimming pool (Asnyka St.)
- race times: registration from 10:00, start from 11:00.
Participants should have a valid identity document; minors must have written consent from their parents.
Sport categories by participants’ gender and distance:
- primary school – 1,400 metres
- lower-secondary schools – 1,400 metres
- seniors over 35 – 2,800 metres
- open category – over a distance of 2,800 metres.
Attractive prizes, trophies and cash prizes for first, second and third place in the open category are planned for winners and participants. The prize sponsors are:
